054_獨自一人在大海上

應該是上次3.5折買來的特價書，吸引我的是書名和隨手翻翻的內容：海，航海，澳洲... 小說的內容是一個英國孤兒被運輸到澳洲當苦工，但是後來有機會變成製船師傅,討海人等等的故事。他想要駕船返回英國尋找姊姊卻因病過世，他熱愛航海的女兒愛莉接棒...

書中提到的一首詩：

古舟子詠   The Rime of the Ancient Mariner

 是一個英國詩人 Samuel Taylor Coleridge在1797-98年間寫的，是一個老水手因為懺悔自己濫殺了一隻信天翁的敘事詩，提到了很多航海的情感。

另外還有一首比較短： 海戀 Sea fever ~  by John Masefield

I must down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,

And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,

And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking,

And a grey mist on the sea's face, and a grey dawn breaking. 

I must down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide

Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
